Koha Assignment Thoughts

(This might be really brief, but I don't understand how I lost 1 point on the assignment. All I can think was that I messed something up when it came to duplicates. As far as I know, nothing was posted concerning how to handle duplicates so I chose to handle them as best as I could (which was to make half new and half just a second copy). For the future, it might be good to purge old records...)

Koha was fun. Koha I can see the practicality of. Koha made me better understand what those catalogers do at the hub library for my system when we send them a book. Basically, if a book isn't in our system, we send it to the hub who grabs the OPAC record from somewhere and then posts to our catalog. I think with Koha, this is the exact same set up. As a public librarian and still leaning that way, I recognize that this application is useful. Though, as I worked, I wondered if there was a public interface or if this was, perchance, just a tool to help Step A get to Step C. This assignment, for the most part, was a dream and I had fun listing my "YA Books," many of which I read, and a few still yet to be read.
